Golf Clash review

Golf Clash is a mobile golf simulator that allows you to compete against your friends or to improve your skills in a challenging singleplayer mode that features beautiful courses, tours, and so on.

Gameplay 8/10

For a mobile sports sim, Golf Clash looks rather complex. Many golf sims just base their mechanics on sheer luck, leaving your skill almost irrelevant. And even if their shot systems get more realistic, they still incorporate only one or two variables that define the success of your shot. However, this is not the case with Golf Clash – the game features rather realistic mechanics that require some time to master. That makes the gameplay reasonably challenging but still enjoyable.

Of course, the game has a singleplayer mode, but you'll probably want to skip it. The multiplayer is much more interesting, allowing you to compete against your friends or random players. It features a chat with an emoji system that allows you to communicate with your opponents, and that makes it very interesting. There are also weekly leagues with all kinds of bonuses, new courses you can find, and so on.

Graphics 7/10

The visual style of Golf Clash is a bit bland. Different courses are rather similar, and they start to be boring after a while. But they are still green and sunny, so the overall picture is pleasant. Balls move realistically, and special effects are nice. All in all, the game doesn't offer anything truly outstanding in terms of graphics, but its visuals suit the gameplay well.

Sound 6/10

The sound effects are nice. The soundtrack doesn't annoying you even after a while, and that's what really matters for such games. Other sounds are enjoyable, too. Hitting a ball feels nice, and so does opening a bonus chest. However, you can encounter occasional problems with sounds, such as a freeze once in a while.

Lasting Appeal 7/10

Golf Clash features gameplay that combines a rather complex shot system with great multiplayer options and a nice visual style, allowing you to spend hours in the game without even noticing it. You don't have to play it all the time, but there's always something new you can discover.
